After a BA in Literature and an MA in Communication, I worked for a few years as a PR consultant, before going for a one year round-the-world trip by myself and taking up part-time work to pursue my education in painting.

Then I left for China, as an English teacher in the suburb of Kunming (capital of Yunnan Province), where I taught half of the week, and wrote, painted, studied Mandarin the rest of the time.
This Chinese stay was an interesting experience, and inspired me with a number of travel sketchbooks (from which some were published in 2009 by Reflets d’Ailleurs Publishers, under the title ‘Autour du Yunnan’), a novel (‘Vol intérieur’, éditions Les Promeneurs Solitaires, 2009), two series of paintings about Chinese urbanism.

Since September 2009, I have been writing, painting and doing illustration work in Paris, where I also teach Travel Sketchbook and Art-journal workshops.

I remain fascinated by Asia, and by the United-States where I lived for a year as a child, in NY, and then as a student, in 1998.

And by Paris, in the middle of both!
