Graphite pencil, 2B hardness (mildly soft and tender). One can lightly smudge the lines.
It can be used with watercolor.
One can use it with or without an eraser… A pencil sharpener is recommended.

Acrylic Painting Kit

To draw before adding watercolor, nothing works better than a waterproof drawing pen! Their ink won't smudge when you apply the color.
This category of felt pens are made to flow easily, in a regular way, whatever the inclination of the sketchpad (vertical, horizontal...). Their ink is particularly resistant.
