Palette Knife

This sketchpad is middle weight (120-160 g/m2), which works fine with drawing, but also with watercolor drawing (drawing + a few touches of watercolor). Its hardback makes it convenient when working outdoors. For watercolor drawing, it is not necessary to use watercolor paper, that is more expensive, rather thick, and whose texture can prevent the nib or drawing pen from running smoothly.

For the classes and workshops taking place at the Louvre, the felt pen needs to be water-based (one may also choose a pencil). Waterproof pens are forbidden in the Museum. This one has the advantage to have two different tips: a small one, and a large one. It will also be useful outside the Louvre!

The three primary colors + white and black: here is the basis for creating every colors! Using this set, you will learn about mixing colors, and you will be able to realize several paintings, on canvas or paper.
