Color and values in Marrakech
Learning to make one’s own Travel-Report Sketchbook; mastering Color and values: two goals for that week, that will be the occasion to bring back a complete sketchbook and develop many creative ideas.
We will combine outdoors location drawing and creative studio work around a large table.
Marrakech and its medina are a paradise for color!
6 days course, 30 hours of teaching (available in both French and English), in a small group (6 to 9 persons). Staying in the peaceful Riad Sahara Nour, in the heart of the old town.
Teaching and half-board accommodation. (The plane ticket is to be purchased by participants, but Easyjet offers good deals).
Each day counts two teaching sessions, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon: we leave in the morning from 9:00AM to 12:30AM to sketch outside, then everyone can enjoy free time to keep exploring or to rest, and we meet again at the Riad from 6:30PM to 8:00PM, to work on composition in our sketchbooks.
The workshop is open to everyone, it is not necessary to know how to draw already. Experience shows that even someone who has never held a pen before gets, through a workshop, to surprise oneself and to produce the most unexpected pages!
And that those who already have a regular practice of drawing find new possibilities of realizing it, and discover new facets to their own work.
The goal is, for each of us during the workshop, to progress, to sharpen one’s eye, to explore and exploit one’s creativity, and to have fun! And to live a travel experience that is different, unique, close to local life…
You will get the opportunity, there, to test and improve the useful techniques for travel sketchbooking, to discover the hidden facets to your eye, to come back home with a full sketchbook, and with a renewed and freshened eye. And to relax your body and mind, as we are staying in a quiet and comfortable place in the old town, and as drawing is a particularly, deeply relaxing activity…
